Brittany

Book a train ticket

Brittany is the point in the west of France, almost surrounded by the sea. Its magnificent coast starts from Saint-Malo and its fortifications, up to the Pointe du Raz then descends into the Gulf of Morbihan. Without forgetting its islands of Ouessant, Bréhat, Belle-Île-en-Mer. and its capital, Rennes. The salted butter caramel is king, as is the kouign-amann and the delicious pancakes.

In winter, the sea rages on, so take refuge in the cities and appreciate the charms of Dinan or Vannes. In autumn, go shellfish fishing in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc or taste good oysters in Cancale. The beautiful days will allow you to bask in the sun on the beautiful beaches of Finistère. And at the end of the summer, don't miss the folklore of the Festival Interceltique de Lorient!

Right here!

Stop clichés! In Rennes, a city known to be cool and very rainy, it actually rains much less than in some cities in the south. And yes, the Breton capital posts 677mm of precipitation per year against 803mm and 984mm for Nice and Bordeaux. So go to bask on the Breton beaches!
