Commonly known as Chamonix, this Haute-Savoie village is located in the heart of the Alps, at the foot of the majestic Mont-Blanc, in eastern France. The climate is mild in summer and cold in winter. Winter is truly the high season for skiing in Chamonix. During the school holidays, visitors flock to this place, just like during the holiday season. This high season lasts until March. From May to September, mild temperatures attract hikers. October and November are fairly calm months in Chamonix, ideal for exploring the surroundings in peace.

The Aiguille de Midi cable car, located in Chamonix, is one of the highest in the world. It climbs to an altitude of 3,777 meters. At the top, it is still possible to take an elevator, pierced in the rock, to reach the central peak, located at 3,842 meters. From there, the Panoramic Mont-Blanc cable car leads to Pointe Helbronner, in the Mont-Blanc massif. During this trip, get ready to contemplate breathtaking panoramas.
