Nantes station is the main railway station in the Nantes metropolitan area. It serves many regional and national destinations, with 15 million passengers a year. The station can be reached in several ways. Tram line 1 (Gare Nord - Jardin des Plantes station) takes you there, as does busway line 5 (Gare Sud stop). Several bus lines also run to the station.
