Worth knowing

For a travel to or from London, arrive at the station 1 hour before your Eurostar departure. Gates close 30 minutes before departure (or 10 minutes for Business Premier). For other Eurostar destinations, boarding is allowed up to 5 minutes before the train departs.

Onboard luggage

For travel to and from London:

One of the perks of traveling on Eurostar is that there's no weight restriction for your luggage. You just need to be able to carry them onto the train!

Standard and Standard Premier: If you're traveling with a standard or standard premier ticket, you can bring 2 bags/suitcases (not exceeding 85cm in length) and 1 small piece of hand luggage (handbag, briefcase, laptop bag).

Business Premier: If you're traveling in Business Premier, you can bring: 3 bags/suitcases (not exceeding 85 cm in length) and 1 small piece of hand luggage (handbag, briefcase, laptop bag).

For other Eurostar destinations:

You can travel with a maximum of 2 bags per passenger. If you exceed this, your suitcase may be refused onboard, or a fee of €30 per bag may be charged. Also, make sure to adhere to the following conditions:
 

  • Maximum weight of 32 kg per bag
  • Maximum dimensions of 75x53x30cm
  • 1 piece of hand luggage maximum
  • Luggage tag is mandatory

Take everything with you!

  • Pets onboard

    Pets are not allowed onboard Eurostar except for guide dogs for travel to or from London. For other destinations, pets weighing under 6 kg can travel for free if they are carried in a container measuring a maximum of 45x30x25cm.

  • Additional luggage

     If you wish to bring extra luggage, simply use the Eurostar luggage check-in service.

  • Bicycles onboard

    For travel to or from London: Folding bikes can be taken on all Eurostar trains as long as they do not exceed 85 cm in length when folded.

    Other destinations: your bike must be disassembled and packed in a cover measuring a maximum of 135x85x30cm. As for folding bikes, considered as regular luggage, they must not exceed the maximum dimensions of 75x53x30cm.

  • The train station of arrival must match the rental station. The ticket is valid for 24 hours from the train's arrival. Example: If you arrive at Paris Gare de Lyon on December 12 at 10:12, you can collect a car at the same station until December 13 at 10:11.
 
Key handover outside agency hours:
  • For key collection and contract handover outside of regular hours:
    • €9.99 for customers with a valid train ticket.
    • €19.99 for customers without a train ticket.
  • This service is not available at all Avis and Budget agencies.
