Train Avignon Lyon

Avignon TGV station is a railway station located 6 km from the centre of Avignon in the Vaucluse.

Opened in 2001, the station made it possible to introduce the high-speed line on the route between Paris and Marseille. It has a contemporary style, with its ship's-hull shape and its use of raw materials. Its waiting area offers benches and photography exhibitions. The north hall is dedicated to trains to Marseille and the south hall to those to Lyon and Paris. The station has a large car park with a convenient drop-off service.

With its 6 tracks, the station's activity is focused primarily on high-speed trains. Many TGV services (TGV INOUI and OUIGO) run every day, with destinations such as Paris, Lyon and Marseille. Other destinations served by TGV include Lille (via Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV and Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy), Nice, Toulon, Antibes and Cannes. TGV INOUI trains to Brussels also serve the station.

Lyon Part Dieu station is located in the district of the same name in the Lyon metropolitan area. Welcoming regional, national and international passengers, it is Lyon's main station and one of the largest French stations in terms of passenger numbers.

At the station, you can visit the vast shopping centre, with more than 200 shops, around forty restaurants and cinemas. Near the station, don't miss Les Halles de Lyon, one of the symbols of local gastronomy with its well-stocked stalls.

Lyon Part-Dieu has the advantage of being easy to reach on the metropolitan area's public transport. Fifteen TCL bus lines stop at Gare Part Dieu, as do metro line B and tram lines T1 and T3.

Regional services include the towns of Roanne, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble and Bourgoin-Jallieu.

TGV connections (TGV INOUI and OUIGO) run to various French cities, including Paris, Lille, Marseille, Nice, Montpellier and Perpignan, among others. There are also international services, by TGV to Brussels or Luxembourg.

TER coaches are available to passengers from the nearby bus station. They serve a few towns, such as Grenoble, Saint-Étienne and Annecy, and the Rhône Express shuttle runs between the station and St. Exupéry airport.

Lyon Saint-Exupéry TGV station is the third most important railway station in the Lyon region. It is located in the municipality of Colombier-Saugnieu, around 20 kilometres from Lyon. Nearly 1.5 million passengers use it every year.

The station is unusual in that it is linked to Lyon-Saint-Exupéry international airport by a 250-metre footbridge with a moving walkway. You will find many shops and places to eat before catching your train or plane. The station has self-service ticket machines, free Wi-Fi and the Disabled Passenger Assistance Service.

To get to the station, you can take one of the buses on the TCL network. The Rhônexpress tram also provides a direct, regular link in less than 30 minutes between the Part-Dieu district in Lyon, Lyon Saint-Exupéry TGV station and the airport.
