Pays de la Loire

Book a train ticket

Completely west between Brittany and New Aquitaine, the Pays de la Loire region has more than one argument to make. A temperate climate, the vitality of large cities such as Angers or Nantes, the beauty of its Atlantic coast or the Mayenne bocage. The list is long but one thing is certain: one visit is not enough to identify all its facets and traditions.

Autumn and winter in Pays de la Loire are ideal for exploring museums or picking mushrooms. But as soon as spring returns, major activities resume. The Puy du Fou reopens its doors in particular and many music and theater festivals are talking about them again. Finally in the summer, everyone jumps into the water near Les Sables d'Olonne, La Baule or Le Croisic!

Right here!

Mayenne is the least populated department of the Pays de la Loire. And it is the cows that dominate in numbers! There are over 640,000 cattle while the human population is "only" 300,000 inhabitants. The advantage? Calm and wide open spaces! In the forest or across fields, Mayenne provides many particularly accessible and relaxing hiking trails.
