3117 is the emergency number for passengers on board trains.
Call this number if you are a victim or if you see:
- a danger for a fellow passenger.
- or if someone is taken ill or has a fall on board a train.
Using this number makes it easier for the emergency services to intervene on board trains and informs them in real time of the location of the call.
If you call 3117:
- Explain the reason for the call
- Indicate your departure station and time, the destination, and the place on the train where the incident occurred (front, middle or rear)
3117 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (standard call charges apply).
3117 is an emergency number with calls relayed to the relevant public emergency services. It does not replace the usual emergency numbers:
Fire brigade: 18
Police: 17
Ambulance: 15
European emergency number: 112
