Thollon-les-Mémises, Haute-Savoie
Ten kilometers from Evian, Thollon-les-Mémises is a charming Savoyard resort. People come here to ski as much as to enjoy the family atmosphere and stunning views of Lake Geneva, the Vaudoise Riviera and the Bernese Alps.
With low-priced adult ski passes from €29 per day, €116 for a 4-day pass, and special rates for young adults and families, you'll be able to enjoy 50 kilometers of downhill slopes, 16 lifts, a beginners' area and wonderful snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
Ski passes
The "Les Montagnes d'Evian" ski pass allows you to ski in the 3 resorts of Thollon Les Mémises, Bernex and Abondance. If you plan to take a 5-day ski pass in one of these three resorts, you automatically qualify for the "Les Montagnes d'Evian" ski pass (5-day pass at €139, 6-day pass at €149.50). You'll have access to the ski areas of all 3 villages, linked by shuttles.
In addition to skiing, you'll have access to the Bernex ice rink, the Cité de l'Eau in Publier, the Abbey and the Maison du Fromage in Abondance. A great deal not to be missed.

Cauterets, Pyrénées
If you're looking for an affordable ski resort in the Pyrenees, Cauterets is the place to go! Both a winter sports resort and a spa, it is located in the Hautes-Pyrénées at an altitude of 950 meters.
The resort offers two ski areas for different skiing desires and outstanding natural snow conditions: the Cirque de Lys area, with its 36 km of marked ski runs, accessible by cable car from Cauterets, and the Pont d'Espagne area, for Nordic activities and snowshoeing.
Ski passes
For downhill skiing, opt for the Cirque du Lys ski area, accessible in 12 minutes by cable car from the village of Cauterets. On arrival: a beginners' area, a tobogganing zone, several catering facilities... The Introduction (€20 per day) and Beginner (€32 per day) ski passes allow you to make your first runs in adapted beginner areas.
The adult pass costs €42 for one day, and €246 per adult for 6 days of skiing. Only available online, the "No Souci" card offers discounts on selected ski passes. Student ski passes are also available.
If you like Nordic skiing, choose the Pont d'Espagne ski area, located 7km from the village of Cauterets. It can be reached by car or by shuttle bus from the village. It's an ideal site for beginners, surrounded by fir trees and in the heart of nature. This Nordic ski area also offers beginner slopes for downhill skiing. The Nordic day rate is €11 per day.

Les Orres, Hautes-Alpes
100 kilometers of slopes, 19 lifts, a snowpark... all for a reduced ski pass when you buy your "web excluded" ski pass at least 48 hours in advance.
Half the slopes are graded red, and the longest is 7 kilometers long. Sports fans will love it.
Ski passes
Les Orres also offers "Tribu" ski passes for families and students, with accommodation among the cheapest in the Hautes-Alpes.

From Embrun SNCF station, a shuttle bus runs several times a day to Les Orres. Tip: take the night train to Embrun, to optimize the length of your stay and arrive at the resort in the morning.

Autrans, dans le massif du Vercors
Welcome to Autrans, in the heart of the Vercors. Situated between 1050 and 1700 meters above sea level, the resort offers 33 downhill ski slopes (divided into two ski areas accessible with a single ski pass). But it is for cross-country skiing that the resort is best known, as it is home to one of Europe's largest Nordic ski domain, with almost 200km of trails.
Ski passes
An adult day pass for the Grand Domaine costs just €22, and €109.30 for 6 days. The resort also offers a number of special deals outside school vacations, such as the "séjour" offer: for every "séjour" package purchased from Monday to Friday outside school vacations, one day's skiing is free.

Gérardmer, Vosges
Have you ever thought of going skiing in the Vosges? If not, then believe me, Gérardmer is well worth the trip. Situated at an altitude of almost 700 meters, it has 21 slopes for a total of 40 kilometers, including 6 night slopes.
There are also 19 lifts and several play areas. And the resort is part of Gérardmer, offering other activities such as a cinema or a walk around the famous Lac de Gérardmer.
Ski passes
When it comes to ski passes, there are a number of very flexible options, such as :
- the new 6-day non-consecutive ski pass (6th day free) at €129.50. So if one day you feel like taking a break, or want to try a different activity, no problem - your day's ski pass is not lost! A great offer that's quite rare in the industry.
Night passes for evening skiing from 4:30pm to 9:30pm for €19.

Laguiole, Aveyron
If you're new to skiing or prefer a more leisurely snowshoe hike, Laguiole in Aveyron is without doubt the resort for you. Peaceful, family-friendly and far from overcrowded, you'll be able to make steady progress and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the snow-covered countryside.
The resort also has 15 downhill ski slopes, perfect for beginners or families with young children who rarely ski.

Les Rousses, Jura
The Les Rousses resort is made up of 4 villages: Les Rousses, Lamoura, Prémanon and Bois d'Amont. The first French resort to be awarded the Flocon Vert label, it draws its charm from the beauty of its landscapes and the nature it preserves.
