What if we were to stop thinking of trains as merely a mode of transport, and started thinking of them as places for working and exchanging with others? With the increasing number of digital nomads and business travellers, and with information circulating at ever higher speeds, it is almost essential to optimise your travel time when travelling for work.

How to optimise your trip

Whether you are used to working in the same office all the time or you are a frequent traveller, ready to adapt to any situation, the train can easily become your new office.

To make the experience as pleasant as possible, choose a window seat, where the ever-changing view will provide a constant source of inspiration. Once you are comfortably settled in and focused with your computer on the table and an electrical outlet close by, take advantage of your time on board the train to finish preparing important files. If you are travelling on a TGV INOUI, you will even have access to free Wi-Fi!

Have an impromptu meeting in the bar car

If you are travelling across France to meet with an important client, why not take advantage of the trip to have a preliminary meeting with your colleagues? There is no better place to do it than in the bar car. With a hot cup of coffee and a snack in hand and the constant gentle motion of the train car, you are sure to come up with some brilliant ideas. On your way back, you can debrief from your meetings in the same way.

The result? No wasted time, and a well optimised journey!

Prepare for your day away from the office

Just imagine: tomorrow, you are heading to Lille for work. You know nothing about the city, but you will be there for the day. You have a full agenda: a site visit, a business lunch and a meeting with potential clients.

Why not take advantage of your journey to prepare for your various meetings? That way, by the time you arrive at your destination, the Lille Europe train station in the city centre, you’ll be ready to roll!
