Zurich, Basel, Geneva, Lausanne, Interlaken, Swiss cities are not always what you think they are. Spending a weekend there means discovering their true face and filling up with originality, creativity and adrenaline!
Week-end in Zurich
It is good to visit Zurich… Its banks, its lake and its historic center, the Swiss city is famous all over the world. Yes, but Zurich has much more to offer than this sometimes too smooth image. With trendy neighborhoods, an alternative scene and electro nights, it is considered the Swiss Berlin.
First stop: Zurich-West. This industrial district has become the haunt of hipsters. Stroll under the arches of the viaduct, discover the Freitag store (Zurich's favorite bag), eat in the urban Frau Gerolds Garden and go out to the electro club Hive.

The next day, to regain strength, head to Rote Fabrik for a gourmet brunch. You are in an old factory converted into an alternative cultural center. Enjoy the place, the street-art works and the lake that is right in front of your eyes. A Sunday as we like them.
Week-end filled with culture in Basel
Basel is the Swiss city with the most museums: around 40! It is also here that the largest contemporary art fair in the world takes place every year: Art Basel. Amateur, art lover, you have come to the right place.
On the program for your cultural weekend in Basel: internationally renowned museums! There is the Beyeler Foundation, the Tinguely Museum, the Fine Arts Museum and the Vitra Campus to name a few.
But art in Basel is everywhere. Take a street art tour of the city (from the tourist office) and don't miss the alternative district of Klybeck. In this port and industrial zone, some funny infrastructures have emerged: you can eat there, have a drink, party and admire the urban works that surround you.
Week-end near the water in Geneva
Ah the gentle sound of the lapping of Lake Geneva… It will accompany you throughout your stay in Geneva. Here, the city lives to the rhythm of its lake and this is the opportunity for you to treat yourself to a weekend with your feet in the water (or on the water depending on the season).
On the right bank of Lake Geneva, go to the Bains des Pâquis. This place unlike any other is the darling of the Genevans. They bathe there (in summer as in winter), they relax (in saunas and hammam) and they have fun (restaurant and bar). Then take advantage of the cosmopolitan and now trendy Pâquis district for a drink and dinner.

On the left bank, a dream night awaits you: sleeping on a catamaran (Float Inn) in the bay of Geneva. Wake up gently with a view of the famous water jet. For the muscular awakening, direction the park of the Grange. For the gourmet awakening, it is at the hotel-restaurant of the Parc des Eaux Vives that it happens: treat yourself to a delicious brunch with Lake Geneva as a backdrop.
Lausanne is a city that can be visited on foot… Be careful, it climbs in the hilly old town! There are the essentials: its cathedral, its Olympic museum, its Place de la Palud… But there are also all these little details that make it even more unique. Ready for a visit to Lausanne like no other?
Week-end out of the ordinary in Lausanne
Let's start with the cathedral: from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., from the Belfry tower, a lookout shouts the hours to the inhabitants. What a pleasure to witness this tradition which has continued for nearly 600 years and to observe Lausanne by night.
Then there is the Flon district… Here, warehouses have given way to trendy places. There reigns a sacred vitality and creativity. Come there to stroll, eat, have a drink and especially to party. When it comes to shopping, don't miss out on the indescribable Maniak boutique!
Finally, discover the urban vineyards of the Languedoc hill and go to Sauvabelin Lake to pet endangered Swiss species such as the woolly pig. The unusual do you want some here!
Week-end filled with sport in Interlaken
45 minutes from Bern, the city of Interlaken is a sportsman’s paradise. Located in a valley between lakes and Alpine peaks, it offers the most beautiful Swiss landscapes. Nice the playground! Here, you will be spoiled for choice to let off steam, get fresh air and experience unforgettable moments.
The peaks around you, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, await you for skiing in winter or hiking in summer. Or maybe even canyoning, rafting or paragliding? 45 trains, cable cars, cable cars, chairlifts, take you directly to seventh heaven.
Then there are these two lakes, Thun and Brienz, with crystal clear waters. Stroll along their shores and enjoy their many water activities. Stand-up paddleboarding, water skiing, canoeing, wakeboarding… Enough to spend a weekend like no other!
