The Place du Théâtre in Lille
Although the theatre that used to be on the square shut down in 1903, a stunning neo-classical opera house has since replaced it. And it is not the only building that will turn heads. With the Vieille Bourse, theChamber of Commerce, and the Rang de Beauregard(a row of private houses), you are bound to be amazed no matter where you look!
It is impossible to miss this square, as it is located in the city centre, next to the Grand'Place and Vieux Lille.

The Place de la République
Since March 2019, the Place de la République has benefited from new lighting. And be warned: you're in for a spectacular show ! One could contemplate the lights for hours illuminating the fountain, the square, and the two adjoining buildings: the Préfecture du Nord and the Musée des Beaux-arts.
The good news is that this new lighting system consumes four times less energy than the previous one. In short, it’s a victory on all fronts. Doesn't this deserve a photo?

La Piscine Museum
Designed in 1932 by architect Albert Baert, this former Olympic pool was built in the finest Art Deco style of the time. It has since been converted into a museum dedicated to art and industry.
Goodbye to the smell of chlorine and hello to the collections of applied arts (drawing, textiles, ceramics) and fine arts (painting, sculpture from the 19th and 20th centuries). Even though it has been refurbished, a small pool remains in the middle of the works of art. It’s completely wacky!

Everything radiates tranquility, and time seems to stand still as the water flows. Capture these peaceful moments before returning to the harbour to watch the sunset.
