Tickets purchased under the Liberté fare are 100% flexible. This means they can be exchanged and refunded free of charge up to 30 minutes after the train’s departure. This is an advantage compared with semi-flexible TGV INOUI tickets, which can be exchanged and refunded free of charge only up to D-7. From D-6 until departure, an exchange fee of €19 per ticket applies, in addition to any fare difference. Please note: for INTERCITÉS journeys without compulsory seat reservation, the Liberté fare is flexible and valid for one day on a single journey, on the operating day of the train indicated on the ticket and on the same route. Seating is not guaranteed if you take another train on the day of travel.
Tickets purchased under the Liberté fare are 100% flexible, and their exchange is guaranteed on the day of departure, including on fully booked trains (without a guarantee of a seat), for TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS services with compulsory seat reservation. For example: you have a Liberté fare ticket to travel home at 6:00 pm, but you decide to leave earlier and take the 5:00 pm train; the 5:00 pm train is fully booked and normally cannot be reserved; however, if you exchange your Liberté ticket, you will be able to select the 5:00 pm train; no seat will be allocated as the train is fully booked, but once on the platform you may inform the train manager, who will try to find you an available seat once the journey has started. Please note: the Guaranteed exchange on fully booked trains is offered subject to the maximum number of standing places available. The passenger may be refused a Guaranteed exchange on a fully booked train, in particular in the event of overcrowding that could compromise passenger safety.
Tickets purchased under the Liberté fare are sold at fixed prices, by class and destination. Normally, ticket prices vary depending on factors such as how full the train is, the booking date, etc. Very often, last-minute train tickets are more expensive. But not with the Liberté fare. The Liberté fare does not change: it remains fixed all year round, even for last-minute bookings. Here are a few examples of fixed prices by destination in TGV INOUI 2nd class: Paris–Lyon: €64 Paris–Marseille: €73 Paris–Bordeaux: €78 Paris–Nantes: €61 Paris–Strasbourg: €70 Paris–Rennes: €61 Paris–Montpellier: €73 Paris–Lille: €40 Excluding OPTIMUM PLUS class and TGV Lyria.
The Carte Liberté holder may also benefit, under certain conditions, from an Avantage fare for themselves, as well as for one accompanying adult (maximum one adult companion per trip) and up to three accompanying children aged 4 to 11. Conditions for access to the Avantage fare: For any one-way trip, provided that the Carte Liberté holder travels with an infant under 4, a child aged 4 to 11, or on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). For a mandatory return trip including the night from Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday, or Sunday to Monday. The maximum time between the outbound and return journeys is 61 days. Discount levels: For the cardholder and the accompanying adult (over 12): 30% off in 2nd and 1st class. For accompanying children: 60% off in 2nd and 1st class. This discount does not apply on TER trains or on certain PREM’S fares, certain SECONDE and PREMIÈRE fares, and on certain routes served by TGV INOUI and ICE operated under the DB–SNCF cooperation. Conditions for accompanying passengers to access the Avantage fare: Accompanying passengers’ tickets must be purchased at the same time as the Carte Liberté holder’s ticket, and they must travel together. Adult: the Carte Liberté holder will travel at the Avantage fare or the Liberté fare only if this is cheaper than the Avantage fare applicable on that day. Children: the Carte Liberté holder must travel at the Avantage fare; otherwise, the Avantage discount cannot be applied to accompanying children.

Since 29 February 2024, purchasing a Carte Liberté TGV INOUI gives access to the Grand Voyageur loyalty programme offered by SNCF Voyageurs. When your Carte Liberté is activated, you will automatically receive an email invitation to join the programme. The Grand Voyageur loyalty programme allows you to earn points on journeys costing more than €9 made in France on TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS services (excluding TER, Transilien, OUIGO high-speed and classic services), as well as on international journeys (see the list of eligible routes on TGVINOUI.sncf). Prime Points can also be earned when purchasing a carte Avantage, a Carte Liberté, a high-speed line season ticket (Forfait Ligne Grande Vitesse), a MAX subscription, and through online orders from the TGV INOUI bar service. Membership of the programme is free and optional. In the event of renewal of the Carte Liberté TGV INOUI, membership of the programme is maintained. If the card is not renewed, the customer may lose their Grand Voyageur status in accordance with the programme’s General Terms and Conditions of Use.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL FOLLOWING THE PURCHASE OF A CARTE Liberté The right of withdrawal under Articles L.221‑18 to L.221‑28 of the French Consumer Code, allowing a change of mind within 14 days after the date of purchase of the card provided the customer has not travelled with a discount granted by the Carte Liberté, applies. After the 14‑day period from purchase, a request for withdrawal is no longer admissible and the card is non‑refundable even if the validity start date has not yet passed. (3) €868 PER YEAR Average savings observed for customers who purchased a Carte Liberté from SNCF Connect with a validity start date from 1 January 2024 to 31 October 2024, on TGV INOUI seats booked at Liberté or Avantage Liberté fares, excluding accompanying persons, over a 12‑month period. (5) THE LIBERTÉ FARE OF THE CARTE Liberté ALLOWS A DISCOUNT OF 45% IN FIRST CLASS AND 60% IN SECOND CLASS FOR THE CARDHOLDER 45% discount on 1st class Flex Première or on OPTIMUM and OPTIMUM PLUS classes, calculated on the 1st class Flex Première fare, excluding surcharge on OPTIMUM and OPTIMUM PLUS fares. 60% discount in 2nd class based on the 1st class Flex Première fare. Discounts reserved for the Carte Liberté holder, excluding additional paid services, valid on TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS trains requiring reservations (excluding OUIGO). (6) GUARANTEED EXCHANGE AND EXCHANGE CONDITIONS FOR A TICKET PURCHASED UNDER THE LIBERTÉ FARE OF THE CARTE Liberté ON TGV INOUI AND INTERCITÉS TRAINS WITH REQUIRED RESERVATION The Guaranteed Exchange service is valid for any exchange made on the day of departure. The exchange is possible for another train on the same day, on the same itinerary as the original journey. It is possible to obtain a ticket on full trains, but without guaranteed seating and subject to the maximum number of available standing places. The traveller may be refused the Guaranteed Exchange on a full train, particularly in cases of overload endangering passenger safety. From 30 minutes before the departure of the initial train, the number of exchanges is limited to one per customer. Exchange without fees up to 30 minutes after departure. Tickets are neither exchangeable nor refundable from 30 minutes after departure. Travelers holding a Liberté ticket with a Carte Liberté benefit from an easy exchange on the day of departure on OUIGO trains without fees, only on the day of departure and on the same itinerary using the TGV INOUI PRO app. Once the ticket is exchanged for a OUIGO train, the traveler is subject to OUIGO General Conditions of Sale. The OUIGO ticket is non‑exchangeable and non‑refundable. (7) EXCHANGE AND REFUND OF A TICKET AT THE AVANTAGE FARE PURCHASED WITH THE CARTE Liberté Exchange and refund service offered free up to and including 7 days before departure (excluding non‑exchangeable and non‑refundable tickets). From 6 days before departure, a €19 per person per journey retention applies on TGV INOUI and 40% of the ticket price with a maximum retention of €15 on INTERCITÉS with required reservation. 30 minutes before departure until departure, one exchange possible with the same retention as stated above. Tickets exchanged during this period are non‑refundable. The retention is applied only once for journeys including one or more connections. Ticket non‑exchangeable and non‑refundable after train departure, unless it was made available before departure. In the case of a round‑trip ticket purchase, once the outbound trip has been taken and/or passed, the return trip is no longer cancellable or refundable. SPECIFIC CONDITIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF AN EXCHANGE OR CANCELLATION OF AVANTAGE ROUND‑TRIP TICKETS. Initial reservation eligible for the Avantage Adulte discount: • If exchanging one of the two journeys results in losing this Avantage discount condition, the exchanged ticket is re‑priced at the exchange date fare. The unchanged ticket (corresponding to a future or already completed journey) is re‑invoiced at the non‑discounted fare of the original ticket purchase date. • If cancelling one of the two journeys results in losing this Avantage discount condition, the cancelled ticket is refunded. The unchanged ticket (corresponding to a future or already completed journey) is re‑invoiced at the non‑discounted fare of the original ticket purchase date and deducted from the total amount to be refunded. Initial reservation not eligible for the Avantage Adulte discount: • If exchanging a round‑trip enables eligibility for the Avantage Adulte card discount; the exchanged ticket (outbound or return) then benefits from the Avantage discount. The unchanged ticket (corresponding to a future or already completed journey) does not benefit from the Avantage discount. (8) THE AVANTAGE FARE OF THE CARTE Liberté ALLOWS A 30% DISCOUNT FOR THE HOLDER AND AN ACCOMPANYING ADULT 30% discount valid for the cardholder and an accompanying adult over 12 years: ‑ on one‑way journeys every day when the cardholder travels with a toddler (under 4 years) or a child (4 to 11 years inclusive) ‑ on one‑way journeys on Saturday or Sunday ‑ on round‑trip journeys including at least the night of Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The maximum period between the outbound and return journeys is 61 days and cannot be extended in case of exchange. If entitlement to the Avantage fare is conditional on travelling with a child or toddler, the latter must be present and in possession of a valid travel document (child accompanying ticket or toddler fare) during onboard ticket control. When travelling with an accompanying adult aged 12 or over, the Carte Liberté holder and the adult companion must travel at the same Avantage fare. The accompanying adult discount is valid for one adult over 12 years accompanying the Carte Liberté holder. The accompanying adult ticket must be purchased simultaneously with the cardholder’s ticket. The accompanying adult who benefited from a discount associated with the Avantage fare of the Carte Liberté must travel with the corresponding Carte Liberté holder. Offer reserved for Carte Liberté holders with the Avantage fare, and an accompanying adult over 12 if the ticket is purchased simultaneously with the cardholder’s ticket. Discount calculated, excluding additional paid services, on PREM’S, SECOND, FIRST and full FARE SECOND and FIRST on trains requiring reservations (TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS, excluding OUIGO) and on the Normal fare for INTERCITÉS trains not requiring reservations for tickets valid 7 days. Discount calculated, excluding additional paid services, on PREM’S, SECOND, FIRST and full FARE SECOND and FIRST on trains requiring reservations (TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS, excluding OUIGO) and on INTERCITÉS trains not requiring reservations. Discounts applicable on national territory. THE AVANTAGE FARE OF THE CARTE Liberté ALLOWS DISCOUNTS IN EUROPE The Avantage fare of the Carte Liberté is valid for travel in France and Europe. Offer reserved for Carte Liberté holders, and an accompanying adult over 12 years. Discount calculated, excluding additional paid services: • on the SECOND or FIRST fare of the day on TGV INOUI trains to Luxembourg, Freiburg im Breisgau, Brussels, Italy, Spain and on TGV INOUI and DB‑SNCF VOYAGEURS ICE trains in cooperation to Germany, • on the ESSENTIAL 2nd and 1st fares on TGV INOUI trains to Spain, • on the STANDARD or FIRST fares of TGV Lyria trains. (9) ACCESS TO THE GRAND VOYAGEUR PROGRAM Upon activation of the Carte Liberté, the customer is invited by email to become a member of the Grand Voyageur Program offered by SNCF Voyageurs. The Grand Voyageur Program allows points to be accumulated on journeys over €9 made in France on TGV INOUI and Intercités (excluding TER, Transilien, OUIGO Grande Vitesse and Classic Line) and on international journeys (see the list of journeys on TGVINOUI.sncf). Prime Points can be accumulated on the purchase of carte Avantage, Carte Liberté, High‑Speed Line Pass, MAX subscription and online purchase from the TGV INOUI Bistro. Carte Liberté with a Liberté fare ticket: discount valid for the cardholder. Carte Liberté with an Avantage fare ticket: discount valid for the cardholder and their accompanying adult over 12 years. For children aged 4 to 11 accompanying a Carte Liberté holder: exclusive “Goûter Avantage” offer (apple juice or still water + cookie or M&M’s® + yogurt of choice) at €5, in the presence of the child or upon presentation of their travel document. Conditions of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal under articles L.221-18 to L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, which allows the customer to change his or her mind within 14 days of the date of purchase of the card if he or she has not travelled with a discount offered by the Advantage card, applies. Thus, once the 14-day period has elapsed after purchase, the request for the right of withdrawal is no longer admissible and the card is no longer refundable even if the start date of the validity has not passed.
