OPTIMUM Class is intended for frequent travellers, often business travellers, seeking greater comfort and full flexibility, especially when dealing with unexpected changes or last-minute scheduling.

OPTIMUM PLUS Class is for travellers who want to journey in a bubble of comfort with personalised service on board. It is available exclusively on TGV INOUI Paris–Lyon trains.

OPTIMUM PLUS Class is available to all customers holding an OPTIMUM PLUS fare or an equivalent OPTIMUM PLUS fare: Liberté OPTIMUM PLUS, or negotiated or discounted OPTIMUM PLUS fares, subject to seat availability, from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays and the Christmas and summer holidays (limited to 6 weeks across July and August, dates defined annually), on board TGV INOUI trains operating between Paris Gare de Lyon and Lyon Perrache or Lyon Part Dieu.

Customers travelling with an OPTIMUM PLUS fare benefit from:

  • A fully flexible fare: Tickets are refundable free of charge up to 30 minutes after departure. From 30 minutes before departure, only one exchange is permitted. Tickets exchanged from 30 minutes before departure are non-refundable. Tickets are neither exchangeable nor refundable beyond 30 minutes after departure.
  • A dedicated area on board TGV INOUI trains: Accessible to all holders of an OPTIMUM, OPTIMUM PLUS, or equivalent fare: Liberté OPTIMUM, Liberté OPTIMUM PLUS, or negotiated or discounted OPTIMUM and OPTIMUM PLUS fares.
  • Access to the Grand Voyageur Le Club Lounges at Lyon Part-Dieu and Paris Gare de Lyon stations, subject to the lounge’s opening days and hours.
  • An enhanced range of services and entertainment content on the TGV INOUI Portal: The enhanced portal offer is non-refundable and available within France and on TGV INOUI services to Freiburg im Breisgau and Luxembourg. Access is via the SNCF_WIFI_INOUI network using your Mon Identifiant SNCF or your booking reference. For further details, refer to the general terms of use of the TGV INOUI Portal, available on board via the Wi-Fi connection.
  • A dedicated Customer Service: Available to holders of OPTIMUM, OPTIMUM PLUS, or equivalent fares: Liberté OPTIMUM, Liberté OPTIMUM PLUS, or negotiated or discounted OPTIMUM or OPTIMUM PLUS fares. This service is accessible via the TGV INOUI BOT (bot.tgvinoui.sncf, section OPTIMUM) and allows contact with a dedicated advisor from Monday to Sunday (from 8:00 to 20:00 for OPTIMUM clients and from 7:00 to 22:00 for OPTIMUM PLUS clients) by phone or online chat, after signing in with Mon Identifiant SNCF and identifying a valid OPTIMUM or OPTIMUM PLUS fare ticket, or by entering the relevant booking reference.
  • On-board catering service: A complimentary offer tailored to the time of day (based on train departure time: breakfast until 08:45, sweet or savoury snack from 08:45 to 10:50 and from 13:45 to 18:45, lunch from 10:50 to 13:45, and dinner from 18:45), served at your seat exclusively in the OPTIMUM PLUS area. The catering service is not provided in case of an exchange onto a fully booked train without an assigned seat or onto an OUIGO train under the same-day exchange flexibility.
  • Guaranteed Exchange on fully booked trains: This service is valid for any exchange made on the day of departure. Exchange is allowed for another same-day train on the same route. Tickets may be issued for fully booked trains, but without a guaranteed seat and subject to the maximum number of standing places. Guaranteed Exchange may be denied in cases of overcrowding that could compromise passenger safety.

Carte Liberté – Discount on OPTIMUM and OPTIMUM PLUS journeys: 45% discount on First Class Flex Première or OPTIMUM and OPTIMUM PLUS classes, based on the First Class Flex Première fare, excluding any additional charges specific to OPTIMUM and OPTIMUM PLUS fares.
