A stone’s throw from the jardin du Luxembourg, a restaurant called Nossa roasts juicy chickens Portuguese style. While turning on the spit, the birds are basted with exotic and aromatic sauces where you can taste the curry, whisky and other flavours coming through.

Le Bichat is the organic restaurant with low prices that you need in your life! This cosy deli near the canal Saint-Martin offers mixed salads made with seasonal and daily special ingredients. The selection of cooked vegetables changes every day, which hungry customers will appreciate.

The proprietors, who are good-humoured yet militant about using organic produce, are also all about homemade food. When it comes to dessert, no arguments, there has to be one for everyone! 4. Mandoobar, low prices in an upscale neighbourhood

In the 8th district, right near Europe metro station, this Korean restaurant with a hotchpotch of different panels on the walls is fascinatingly elegant in understated Asian style. Once inside, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the unique U-shaped table which places those eating opposite the chef who serves the food to you directly throughout your meal. There’s no wait, since as soon as your meal is ready it’s placed in front of you.

Chef Kim Kwang-loc cooks meals right in front of you that get newly arrived customers’ mouths watering. Tartar of tuna, beansprout-green onion-radish salad, Korean ravioli and more. You can visit another continent for less than 10 euros. What a deal!

My advice: you must book a table, as the restaurant is not that big.

On the Canal de l’Ourq, the boat named Antipode welcomes foodies aboard to enjoy tasty organic fare in a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. We recommend the menu consisting of a small bowl of soup, a toasted sandwich or salad and your choice of dessert.
