Well stowed folding strollers, mobility aids, scooters and folding bicycles are also permitted. Luggage must not inconvenience other passengers or block exits.

Conventional bicycles are accepted on ICE, IC and EC trains with a bicycle ticket and mandatory booking. Folding bicycles and children's bicycles can be carried free of charge as hand luggage. Tandems and tricycles are allowed on certain trains with a booking at an agency. In the regions, a bicycle ticket is required but without a seat booking.

Small animals travel free of charge in a closed container placed under your seat or in the luggage racks. Large dogs must have a ticket (50% of the adult fare), be muzzled and kept on a leash. Guide and assistance dogs travel free of charge, without a ticket or muzzle.
