No need to enter your bank details: simply log in to your PayPal account to complete your payment.
You can also choose to pay in instalments on eligible purchases, in order to spread your budget with peace of mind.

How does a payment with PayPal work?

You make your payment online from the SNCF Connect website or app.  

You are then redirected to PayPal to authenticate yourself and validate your payment.  

Once the transaction has been confirmed, SNCF Connect will immediately inform you whether the payment has been accepted or declined.

Some purchases are not eligible for PayPal payment:

  • Allianz insurance and donations
  • The BlaBlaCar, BlaBlaCar Bus, FlixBus, Uber and urban offers.
  • TER Zou offer

Payment in instalments

Payment in instalments with PayPal allows you to pay for your purchases from €30 to €2,000 in several monthly instalments, without fees or interest (0% APR).  

You pay a first deposit at the time of ordering, then the other monthly payments are automatically debited.  

To see how much you are installing, log in to your PayPal account and then go to the Installment payments section. Select the payment you want to view: you will be able to find the history of your already paid instalments in the Activity tab, and view the next instalments by clicking on Show upcoming instalments.

How does the refund work in case of ticket cancellation or exchange?

In case of cancellation of your order: the refund is automatically made to your PayPal account.

With this payment method, you can exchange or cancel your trip only online, on the SNCF Connect website and app. In case of exchange with additional cost, payment with PayPal will not be offered.

In the event of a disrupted situation (strike, bad weather, etc.): the exchange of your ticket remains possible, depending on the commercial measures applied by each carrier.

Questions & Answers

  • No. Payment is only made by PayPal without the possibility of supplementing with another payment method.

  • The Digital Voucher cannot be used with PayPal. The Advantage code can be used at the time of booking.

  • Payment by PayPal will not be offered in these different cases:

    • Your order is less than 30 euros
    • In case of exchange with additional cost, payment with PayPal will not be offered.
    • You have used the 2000 euro limit for all your purchases, including outside SNCF Connect
  • To change your password, go to the PayPal login page and select "Forgot your password?" Then enter the email address associated with your account and click Next. Choose the security verification method that works for you, then validate. Once this step is complete, PayPal will prompt you to create a new password.

  • To contact PayPal customer service, log in to your account, open your Message Center, and then select the "New Message" option to submit your request.
