Children's fares without card

If you are traveling with a child under the age of 4, they can travel free of charge on your lap on TGV INOUI, TER and INTERCITÉS trains, without a booked seat. This must be mentioned when you book. 

Only one child per passenger is permitted. 

If you prefer your child to have their own seat for greater comfort, you can opt for a Forfait Bambin at the fixed price of €9. 

With OUIGO, your child under 4 can also travel free of charge on your lap. If you want your child to have their own seat, a child's ticket is available at the single fare of €8 on OUIGO Grande Vitesse trains and €5 on OUIGO Vitesse Classique trains.

 In all cases, you must be able to prove your child's age by presenting your family record book or a form of ID. 

For travel to Europe, every child, even those under 4, must have their own ID. 

How do I add a child to the booking afterwards?

 If the child is over 4 years old, at the time of the new booking, when choosing a seat tick the "Next to a relative or friend" box, then enter your seat number and the car number. You will be seated next to the nearest seat, subject to availability. 

Seating was not guaranteed, you can also cancel your first booking and then make a new booking at the daily fare, adding the child.

Discover the Avantage Adulte card, which offers a 60% discount for accompanying children (aged 4 to 11).

The services for families

With the JUNIOR & Cie Children's Escort Service, your children are supervised by an experienced escort from the moment they board the train to the moment they get off.

To take advantage of the service on national trains:

Children must be aged between 4 and 14

The trip must take place on a weekend or during a school vacation.

For international trains:

Children under 12 are not allowed to travel unaccompanied on Eurostar (to England), Eurostar (to Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany), TGV INOUI to Spain and TGV INOUI France Italy.

For travel by Eurostar, a valid passport and unaccompanied minor form must be presented by passengers aged 12 to 15 inclusive at the pre-boarding check.

For Eurostar (to England), Eurostar (to Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany), TGV INOUI to Spain and TGV INOUI France Italy, all passengers must have a passport.
