Book your SBB train in Switzerland

Worth knowing

Travel in Switzerland on Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) trains. SBB is Switzerland's leading railway company, with a dense, punctual network that covers the entire country to efficiently connect the various cities. They operate several types of trains: high-speed, long-distance and regional, which you can now book on the SNCF Connect website and app.

All our services on board

  • Treats and relaxation at the SBB Restaurant

Turn your journey into a break: enjoy a selection of carefully chosen meals and drinks at the SBB Restaurant or SBB Bistro, to delight your taste buds even on the train.

  • Free Internet on board and in stations

Browse free of charge: thanks to SBB WiFi, Internet access is available in many stations and on board mainline trains!

  • Enhanced comfort in 1st class

Travel with greater ease: in 1st class, you'll enjoy more legroom, individually adjustable seats spaced further apart, outlets in every compartment, 2+1 layouts, as well as "business" and "quiet" areas for greater peace of mind.

  • Transporting your luggage on board the train

SBB makes it easy to travel with your luggage. You can keep your luggage with you on the train thanks to the numerous storage areas: under or between the seats, in the overhead luggage racks, or in the multi-function compartments of duplex cars. Pictograms indicate luggage and stroller zones.

  • Transporting your bicycle on board the train

Bicycles are welcome on SBB trains. You can transport your personal bicycle in the areas provided, including in the IC2000 cars on the lower level. Groups of cyclists (10 people or more) can benefit from specially adapted services on booking. Folding bicycles can be transported as hand luggage, without a specific ticket. For other types of bicycles, we recommend checking transport conditions and booking in advance, especially during busy periods.

  • Travelling with your pet

Small animals, up to the size of a cat, can travel free of charge on SBB trains if they are transported in a closed cage or bag, placed under the seat or in the luggage racks. For dogs, a specific ticket is required and can be purchased via the SNCF Connect application. Dogs must be kept on a leash and remain on the floor during the journey.
