Under what conditions can I exchange or cancel my ticket?
You can exchange or cancel your tickets directly on our website or the SNCF Connect application.
Exchange and refund conditions depend on the train company and the fare conditions of the ticket. Check the conditions for each type of train.
Check the fare conditions of your ticket from the "Tickets" section by clicking on "Manage Booking" and then on "Fare Conditions" at the bottom of the page. These conditions are also mentioned in the confirmation email you received.
Please note: OUIGO tickets can only be exchanged. You can change your dates, times or journeys for all the passengers concerned. Fees are charged: 19 per passenger per journey. Find out more
Good to know
When traffic is disrupted, trains may be canceled. In this case, cancellation and exchange without fees are possible even after the initial departure of your train, within the limits set by the train company.
How do I exchange or cancel my ticket?

Go to the ""Tickets"" section
Click on ""Import"" in the application or ""Find a ticket, card or option"" on the website.

Search for your trip
Enter your file reference and the name associated with it.

Choose ""exchange"" or ""cancellation”"
You will have a detailed summary.
Special cases

Check that the conditions of your ticket still allow for exchange or cancellation.
Please note:
- If your train is is disrupted, you can benefit from special exchange and refund conditions. Find out more.
- If your request concerns an e-ticket for your pet, the exchange is not possible. You can cancel it on the SNCF Connect website or app. This ticket is refundable free of charge before departure.For all other cases, please contact our customer service department.

If the fare conditions of the ticket allow it, it is possible to exchange or cancel the ticket of one or all of the passengers on SNCF Connect. Please note, if you have benefited from a fare linked to a discount card or if you are accompanying someone who has one :
- Cancellation of the outward or return journey for all passengers will not be available. In the event of an exchange, the fare for the journey will be recalculated at the price of the day, with no discount due to the card benefits, as the discount conditions linked to the card are no longer applicable.
- The exchange of the outward and return journeys of one of the passengers will not be available. Once you have booked your ticket, you cannot change your seat. When you make your booking, you can choose your place on board according to your preferences and availability.

If your TER ticket is refundable until the day before departure, you can exchange it for another TER journey or a ticket from another train company (except for certain international companies) on SNCF Connect or at an agency. If your new ticket is more expensive than the previous one, the price difference will be at your expense.

Depending on the train chosen when exchanging, your extras (bike, pet, etc.) may be removed from the booking. In this case, they will be deducted from the price of the new journey.Certain types of train will allow you to add them to the new journey: we will tell you during the exchange process.If they cannot be added to the new journey a message will be displayed, but you will still be able to continue with your exchange.If you absolutely wish to travel with your ‘extra’, we invite you to cancel your ticket and purchase a new one.
