Corsica, located in the south of France by the Mediterranean sea, is surround by beautiful scenery. Nicknamed the ‘Ile de Beauté’ it has a warm climate and sunshine almost all year round. People come here for the beaches which are known to be intimate, wild and breathtaking. Between the gastronomy, walks in the mountains, local history and culture, Corsica has what it takes to seduce.

The peak season begins at the start of June and finishes up at the end of September. July and August are particularly busy months as large numbers of tourists arrive to the explore the island. June is also the host of a traditional jazz festival. The soft winter climate is the perfect time to visit the calm coasts of the island. At the very top peaks of the mountains you can even find some snow and a ski slope to enjoy.

Corsican food is steeped in a rich and varied history. Charcuteries, cheese, meat, honey and many more local specialties can be found. Did you know that in ancient Rome, Corsican honey was used to pay taxes collected by the Romains? The honey was especially a favorite of roman women who used it as their elixir of beauty. Nowadays, Corsican honey is protected by the official AOC label. Although, it’s no longer used to pay taxes!
